Opening ceremonies for the 2023 Special Olympics Spring Games will be taking place at West Point on Saturday.

The military academy will be hosting 500 athletes from across the state for events including swimming, track & field, and powerlifting.

The festivities will begin at 10 a.m., with competition scheduled to commence by 11:20 a.m.
