There's new legislation honoring a late Captain with the Yonkers Police Department.

A portion of Route 202 in Yorktown will be changed to the Captain Kenneth Sgroi Memorial Highway.          

Sgroi died last January of an abrupt illness at the age of 37.

He was promoted posthumously to the rank of captain.         

  

He was remembered for his regular participation in local charitable and civic endeavors.
