Starting March 2024, Putnam County will eliminate sales tax on clothing and footwear under $110.

The exemption includes a sunset clause after two years.

Putnam County officials approved the 2024 budget earlier this month, marking the first budget in 25 years with an overall tax reduction, financed without any new borrowing.
