The Wappingers Central School District is banning the single copy of "Gender Queer: A Memoir" from John Jay High School, according to the Mid-Hudson News.

The book has never been checked out before.

Superintendent Dr. Dwight Bonk says he has no objection to the messages of the book but says it contains graphic descriptions of sexually explicit images.
