A groundhog was saved Wednesday - thanks to some Ramapo police officers.

According to the Town of Ramapo's Facebook page, the little groundhog got stuck in the chain-linked fence behind the Stop & Shop on Route 202.

The officers were able to cut the fence and free it.

Let's hope it doesn't see its shadow on Sunday.
