Police offer auto theft prevention tips following chase of stolen car across state lines

In light of recent incidents, local police departments offer the following tips to prevent car thefts:

Remove your keys from the vehicle to eliminate the risk of theft.
Ensure no valuables, such as purses, wallets, and
Always lock your car doors.

The warning comes after the Rye Brook Police Department chased a car into Greenwich, Connecticut early Sunday morning. The car was reportedly stolen from Milford, Connecticut and had a gun inside of it.
