A fatal car crash in Pomona on Route 45 Sunday left part of the road shut down for hours.

The crash happened Sunday morning near the intersection of South Mountain Road.

Police are not releasing many details, but do say two cars were involved in the crash.

Route 45 between South Mountain and Conklin roads remained closed until around 11 a.m.
