The North Castle Town supervisor election remains undecided as Democrat Joseph Rende currently leads Republican Barbara DiGiacinto by a narrow margin of three votes.

The counting of 31 absentee and affidavit ballots occurred Tuesday, widening Rende's lead from one vote on election night.

The County Board of Elections plans to conduct a manual recount of all ballots next week.

Certification of the winner is mandated by Dec. 2.
