The City of Mount Vernon is celebrating the summer with its "Summer Breeze Concert Series!"            

"Lewis and Kirk Music" performed and presented "Summer of the Soul" on the plaza.           

Mayor Shawn Patterson-Howard says music is one of the many things that make Mount Vernon great.

"Music is a part of our life, it's a great part of culture, it brings all sectors of a community together. When you work hard, you also have to have opportunity to play hard. So, we want to celebrate culture in our community."
