A local Marine was among 14 Americans killed in two helicopter crashes in Afghanistan Monday.

Capt. Eric Jones, a Fox Lane High School graduate, proceeded to Northeastern University and later became a combat chopper pilot.

Jones' parents flew to Dover Air Force base and are expected to bring their son back to Pound Ridge on Wednesday.
