Larchmont residents came together Wednesday to collect items for refugees in Syria.
Strollers, crutches, diapers and clothes, among other items, were collected at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
The items will be shipped to Syrian refugee camps.
Raba Sarrar says she was born in a refugee camp in Jordan and never felt like she had a home until she arrived in America at the age of 19.
“It's a hard life. You will never have the same toys, the same playground, the same house,” she says.
Sarrar says she is thankful to have the chance to help those walking the same path she once traveled.
