The Lakeland School Board is expected to appoint an interim superintendent on Thursday.

Dr. Brendan Lyons stepped down from the position over the weekend.

Dr. Karen Gagliardi has been filling in as acting superintendent since then.

Thursday's board meeting is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
