Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have released a Highland Park immigrant who was being detained.
Cloyd Edralin has been living in the United States for 30 years under a valid green card. But he was detained by ICE in June because of a conviction of gun possession in 2007. An air gun was found in his car during a traffic stop.
Edralin has won his court case and officials granted a cancellation of removal.
Edralin can now apply for U.S. citizenship.
