Boy Scout troop leaders from Westchester and Putnam counties attended courses at the University of Scouting at Iona Prep in New Rochelle Saturday.
About 200 adults attended the courses, brushing up on everything from survival in the wilderness to general leadership and first aid.
Some Boy Scouts and Eagle Scouts were also in attendance.
The assistant director of the FBI also spoke Saturday, saying being a Boy Scout helped him prepare for his chosen career.
The scout leader courses continue throughout the year. Leaders also have the option of taking courses online.
