Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton paid her respects to Reginald Lafayette on Friday.

She joined Mount Vernon Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard for the viewing of the late civic leader. He died on Jan. 15 at the age of 69.

Lafayette was the longtime county Democratic chairman and was currently serving as the Democratic commissioner on the Westchester County Board of Elections.

He will be buried in his native Charleston, South Carolina.
