Former Mayor Ron Belmont is re-entering the political arena in Harrison, declaring his candidacy for the upcoming mayoral and supervisor election.

Belmont previously held the position for nine years, serving from 2011 to 2020. Prior to that, he served 37 years as the superintendent of recreation.

In the upcoming November election, voters will need to manually write in Belmont's name on the ballot, as the endorsement period has already concluded.
