Flames engulfed a home in the Village of New Hempstead Friday morning, officials say.

Ramapo police say heavy smoke and flames consumed the home on Jennifer Court. Officials were on scene just before 6 a.m.

News 12 is told that everyone inside made it out of the home safely.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
