Crime is down in Westchester, according to federal crime statistics.

 

Westchester County Executive George Latimer and members of county public safety presented new statistics Wednesday.

 

They say crime is down overall 5% over the last five years.

 

Murder is down 47%, rape is down almost 29%, and property crime is down 3%.
