Labor Day marked the unofficial end of summer Monday, sending many holiday travelers back home on area roadways.

Some drivers reported heavy traffic slowing their journeys. But other motorists said congestion was lighter than expected.

News 12’s Carol Wilkinson spoke with travelers at a local rest refueling before they finished the drive home.
