A Yorktown landmark was severely damaged by Monday's storm.       

The strong winds sent a large tree smashing through the roof of the older wing the historic Hyatt House.

The house is one of the few pre-Revolutionary War houses still standing in Yorktown. The property was designated a Landmark back in 1976

The owner was not in the house at the time.
