The Suffern community is mourning the loss of a former high school star athlete.

Madie Nipcon died on Sunday following an accident at Tufts University.

Nipcon, who graduated from Suffern High School in 2019, was a lacrosse player.

Police say it happened at an off-campus house.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist family in covering funeral and medical expenses.
