Thousands of pink-wearing breast cancer survivors and many supporters descended on the Bronx Sunday.

The annual ?Making Strides Against Breast Cancer? walk took place at Orchard Beach as thousands of people came out despite the wicked weather.

Event organizers hope to raise awareness about the disease.
