The Hazardous Devices Unit was called to a White Plains home after a hand grenade was found during a basement cleanup.

The hand grenade was determined to be a live grenade with the safety pin partially out resting on an unstable platform.

After careful handling, the grenade was placed into the explosive containment trailer was transported for disposal.
