The extremely dry weather has caused brush fires to pop up across Connecticut.

Firefighters in Shelton sent News 12 this video.

It happened on Route 8 between exits 11 and 12.

Officials say the fires were big enough that plumes of smoke could be seen from a half-mile away.

They say there were actually three fires in the same area, and that no one was hurt.
