An iconic store that has been a beloved shopping destination for many is sadly bidding farewell this week.
The Christmas Tree Shops will be permanently closing its doors on Aug. 12, as it is facing bankruptcy.
The store, known for offering a wide variety of merchandise at reasonable prices, has garnered loyal customers over the years.
“I'm sad that Christmas Tree Shops is closing down because it had a little of everything and at reasonable prices and you could see what you're buying. You know most of us are elderly and we don't like to sit on a computer for hours ordering things. I like to say I'm an old dog. I like to see what I'm buying," laments Pat Dutton of White Plains.
The Hudson Valley will lose three Christmas Tree Shops locations as a result of the closure. This news follows the recent local closure of another chain store -- Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
