2nd teen arrested in Longwood shooting that injured 5-year-old girl; 3rd shooter on the run

A 16-year-old boy was arrested Thursday for his alleged role in a shooting in Longwood that left a 5-year-old girl injured, police say.

The girl was grazed in the head by a stray bullet after a trio recklessly opened fire down Southern Boulevard around 5:25 p.m. on May 13.

Surveillance video shows the chaotic scene play out. One shooter is seen firing while looking in the opposite direction while another shoots a gun while pulling up his pants.

Police say one of the bullets grazed the 5-year-old girl on the right side of her head.

EMS rushed her to the NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem. She is expected to recover, according to the NYPD.

A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody two days after the shooting.

A third shooter remains on the run.
