GUSTY WINDS AND SHOWERS; HAVE THE UMBREALLA

The rest of today will feature cloudy skies, gusty winds and rain showers. Be alert for wet raods and rainy conditons through the evening rush hour.

For tonight, keep the umbrella nearby. Cloudy skies remain in place with scattered showers continuing overnight. We’ll also hold onto some gusty winds through the evening and overnight hours. Temperatures by Thursday morning will settle into the upper 40s and lower 50s.

Thursday starts with the chance for a few lingering early morning showers, but conditions will improve as the day goes on. Clouds will gradually break for some afternoon sunshine, and overall it turns into a much nicer second half of the day. High temperatures will once again reach the 60s. Friday is shaping up to be the pick of the week with mostly sunny skies, lighter winds and comfortable temperatures climbing into the mid-60s to near 70 degrees.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday brings more clouds back into the forecast along with the threat of a few scattered showers. It won’t be a washout, but expect mostly cloudy skies with highs staying in the 60s. Then for Mother’s Day on Sunday, the forecast is trending brighter. We’re expecting mostly sunny skies with some late-day clouds developing, and temperatures warming into the upper 60s and lower 70s.
