A federal judge has agreed to delay the second bribery trial involving former state budget deputy Kosta Diamantis. The trial is now scheduled to take place after Sept. 1.
The decision comes just days after Diamantis abruptly withdrew from an expected plea deal. His attorney said he was not prepared to make what he described as “difficult, life-changing decisions” on Monday.
No new trial date has been set beyond the requirement that it occurs after Sept. 1.
