Hicksville school officials are warning parents about recent stranger danger incidents that happened in the area.

Students reported being approached by unknown individuals on two separate occasions, the district said in a safety alert posted on social media Wednesday evening.

The encounters happened near school grounds, according to the alert, but more specific locations or dates were not given.

The school post noted that one incident involved a red vehicle and the other involved a gray vehicle.

District officials say Nassau police were notified.

Families are being urged to review safety precautions with their children, including not approaching strangers, limiting headphone use while walking, and reporting any concerns to a trusted adult.

News 12 has reached out to police and the district for more information and are waiting to hear back.
