A Paramus man has been arrested in connection with multiple burglaries targeting a local pizzeria, police said.

The Paramus Police Department said Ramon Fernandez Jr., 25, is accused of breaking into Ralphie’s Pizzeria in Paramus three separate times on March 4, March 5 and March 7 between approximately 9 p.m. and 9:30 a.m.

According to police, the restaurant owner reported that someone had entered the business by smashing a rear window. During two of the incidents, cash was taken from the register before the suspect fled.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage and used other traditional methods to identify Fernandez as the suspect in all three burglaries.

Fernandez was arrested April 20, police said, and was jailed pending arraignment.

He has been charged with three counts of burglary, two counts of theft, a disorderly persons offense, criminal mischief and possession of heroin.
