One person died in a "targeted shooting" in Huntington Station Monday, police say.

The shooting occurred around 4:15 p.m.

Homicide Squad detectives had been investigating on West Pulaski Road and Railroad Street.

A police helicopter was seen overhead with a K-9 unit on the ground sweeping the area.
