Some rain is expected in Connecticut heading into Thursday.
Most of the rain will fall during the night, but there could be lingering showers around for the early morning commute. Showers will start around 8 p.m. and continue through about 7 a.m. Thursday.
The worst of the rain will fall overnight and during the pre-dawn hours of Thursday. Roads will be wet from a half-inch to 1 inch of rain. This rain, of course, is needed because rain gauges are still coming up short for April.
Rain chances for the weekend are looking a bit slimmer, as forecast models are still trending dry with the storm well offshore.
Temperatures will also stay cooler for the remainder of the week. Look for more of a cooldown tomorrow night into Friday morning. It will be windy and dry. The winds will also make it feel cooler as temperatures fall into the 30s and lower 40s. There still may be a frost potential for inland areas heading into May.
