Two more arrests have been made in connection with a series of catalytic converter thefts in Lindenhurst. All four suspects appeared before a Suffolk County judge on Wednesday.

According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, the suspects are four men from the Bronx who are accused of targeting vehicles across Suffolk County. Prosecutors say the thefts escalated earlier this month and ended with a high-speed chase that injured a police officer.

Police arrested 34-year-old Jeorge Sanchez and 27-year-old Madinson Ventura on March 19, nearly two weeks after the chase. Their co-defendants, 25-year-old Henry Cruz and 24-year-old Luis Acosta, were arrested shortly after the incident on March 7.

All four men are due back in court next month. If convicted, they could face up to 15 years in prison.
