An old convent in Nassau County is up for sale.
The location in Valley Stream could be turned into an apartment building, court documents show.
The Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Name of Mary is asking for $2 million for the space on Grove Street.
The parish would also get an extra $33,000 for each unit the developer is permitted to build.
The former convent has been vacant for many years.
The Diocese of Rockville Centre says it does not benefit from the sale.
