Jersey Proud: Teen runs to honor fallen Camden firefighters

Morgan Blann ran 2 miles to honor firefighters Howard Bennett and Julius Snyder.

It has been a difficult few months for the crew of the Camden Fire Department after losing two of their own. But an Ocean County teenager is making sure they are being remembered.

Howard Bennett died last month after drowning in the Delaware River while performing maintenance on a fire boat. Julius Snyder died last fall after complications from a long illness.

Brick Township resident Morgan Blann, 15, is part of a group called Running for Heroes. She was running on Wednesday night to honor the fallen Camden firefighters.

When a first responder dies, members of this nationwide group run a mile to honor those lost. Blann ran two - one for Bennett and one for Snyder.
