Bay Shore man convicted of sex trafficking gets 18-36 years in prison

A Bay Shore man accused of sex trafficking has been sentenced to 18 to 36 years in prison, according to Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

Freddie Rice, 35, was accused of preying on women with drug addictions and forcing them to engage in sexual acts for money.

Authorities say the offenses occurred from Aug. 2019 to Dec. 2023. A jury found him guilty during a trial in October.

Officials say he had a criminal history including four prior felony convictions related to drugs, burglary and assault.
