Moped rider wanted in connection to Bronx robbery pattern

Police are searching for a man on a moped who they say is responsible for a string of robberies and attempted robberies in The Bronx.
Police had only released information as of Sunday night about three incidents. However, officials told News 12 that the man struck seven times on Saturday morning, all within about two hours.
It happened between 6:43 a.m. and 9 a.m.
One incident occurred not far from a playground near University Avenue and West 168th Street in Highbridge.
Another crime took place near Edward L. Grant Highway and Plimpton Avenue in Highbridge.
A third theft happened near Teller Avenue and Morris Avenue, which is located outside of Claremont Park in Concourse Village.
It was not clear as of Sunday night what the man stole or how much he got away with.
Bronx residents told News 12 they’re on edge.
“It’s very scary because I've lived over here 36 years, and I've never seen that over here,” said Geraldine Suero, of Highbridge.
“For me to be looking over my shoulder, because there’s people that are approaching other people to rob them, is insane,” said Amanda Lugo, of Highbridge. “I can’t even walk around with my headphones or anything like that.”
The only description that police had released as of Sunday night about the thief is that it is a man who was riding a black moped.
