The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office has released the names of a married couple injured in a shooting at their home in the Bayville section of Berkeley Township Monday evening.
The couple was identified as 58-year-old Thomas Kwatkoski and 56-year-old Jill Kwatkoski. Officials say that Thomas Kwatkoski is listed in critical but stable condition at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Jill Kwatkoski is listed in stable condition.

The prosecutor says 53-year-old John Adamo shot the couple. They say that Adamo opened fire on his neighbors from his property just before 5 p.m. on Monday. They say that he first shot Thomas Kwatkoski, who was up on a ladder working on his home and then shot into the home, striking Jill Kwatkoski.
The prosecutor says that Adamo took his own life following a standoff with police that lasted more than two hours.
Officials have not yet released a motive for the shooting.
But neighbors tell News 12 New Jersey that the shooting could have been the culmination of a long-running dispute between the two property owners. A sign on the victims’ driveway that said “private property no trespassing” addressed the Adamo family by name.
