An 18-year-old is facing charges for an armed carjacking that took place earlier this week in Greenwich, according to police.
News 12 spoke to the victim, who attempted to stop the thief by chasing him down on Tuesday.
A bullet hit the ground in front of him and left pieces of metal embedded in his legs during the chase. He said he is lucky to be alive after the experience.
Police have identified the suspect as Jayden Ganthier. He is charged with robbery, assault and illegal discharge of a firearm.
