Surveillance images show 2 men accused of credit card fraud in Fairfield

Police have released surveillance images of two men accused of credit card fraud at Home Depot and Chipotle in Fairfield.

Police say the victim used her credit card around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sunoco gas station on Grasmere Avenue across the street from Home Depot.

Shortly after, police say two men accessed her credit card information through a remote network scanning device.

Surveillance video shows the two suspects enter the Home Depot where they tried to purchase gift cards worth $105, but the purchase was declined.

Police say the men then went over to Chipotle in the same shopping center and were again declined use of the credit card number.

The victim told police she received an alert on her phone from the credit card company informing her of the fraudulent activity.

The men were last seen driving a black-colored SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer, police say.

Anyone who recognizes the men is asked to call the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau at 203-254-4840.
