1,281ds agoThe South Nyack-Grand View Police Department is asking for the public's help as they hunt down the two people who interrupted the South Nyack Board of Trustees Zoom meeting last week with violent, racist and anti-Semitic comments.
Official shared a screen shot, which said 'This is what we do to LGBTs,' followed by a video of someone getting beheaded.
Chief Daniel Wilson is asking the public if they can recognize the people involved, the background or the voices heard.
Wilson says his department is working with the District Attorney's Office and Rockland County Commuter Crimes and Zoom, which was used to conduct the meeting.
Chief Wilson says no additional threats in any nature have been made in the last week.
"The meeting was a special public meeting in regards to the dissolution of the village…I could speculate but there's a lot of current events going on in the village. You know, the shared-use path is still new, the sale of Nyack College, people are talking about taxes and the property taxes that they pay in the village, so it could be any one of those or a combination," says Wilson.
Wilson said the suspects could be charged for making terroristic threats, and it’s unclear if they committed any computer crimes.
