Gov. Cuomo, at Westchester's request, has issued executive order suspending property tax payment deadline until July 15 for those affected negatively by the COVID-19 outbreak.
The executive order permits town supervisors and city mayors to accept a lesser amount of property taxes otherwise due on May 25 and establish criteria for determining whether penalties and interest for late payment are waived based upon a showing of hardship due to COVID-19.
