A large batch of medical supplies are being delivered to police departments across Westchester County, thanks to the help of a businessman from Greenburgh.
Mark Okamoto got a call last month from Chinese businessman Richard Zang, who he met through real estate transactions.
"He asked me, ‘Can you reach out to various police departments, to the chiefs and captains, and see if we can start donations?'” Okamoto told News 12.
Okamoto, who helps translate Japanese for many police departments, is now helping deliver more than 10,000 masks and PPE supplies.
"We all need to help out each other, especially police departments and first responders," he said.
