Former NYPD officer from Bronxville accused in meth ring

Posted: Updated:

A former NYPD officer from Bronxville is one of five people accused of running a meth and date rape drug ring.

Authorities say 38-year-old John Cicero, along with 36-year-old Irma Materasso, of New Rochelle, and three others conspired to sell more than a pound of methamphetamine throughout Westchester and New York City between 2017 and February of this year. They say Cicero and Materasso also conspired to distribute gamma-butyrolactone, known as “GBL” -- which is a liquid date rape drug.

Cicero remains at large while Materasso is in state custody on other charges.

All five suspects face a minimum of ten years behind bars if convicted.
