Former Crawford town clerk pleads guilty to stealing $21K

A former Orange County town clerk has admitted to stealing.

Jolene Roy, 44, of Pine Bush, admitted to taking more than $21,000 from the town of Crawford, then trying to falsify town records to conceal the thefts.

Roy pleaded guilty to grand larceny and tampering with public records.

She will be sentenced in May and has been ordered to pay back the money.
