Explosion injures worker at Rockland County pump stationPosted: Updated:
A small explosion at a pump station in Rockland County caused an injury to one worker this morning.
The fire from the explosion left the worker with third-degree burns on his face and hands.
Officials say the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. while the worker was using a hammer to make repairs at the county-run pump station in Pearl River.
The worker was rushed to Westchester Medical Center. No one else was injured.
