Police: Wallkill man drove front-end loader drunk in parking lot

Posted: Updated:

A Walkill man is facing multiple charges for allegedly driving a front-end loader drunk.

Officials say they received a call early Wednesday saying the vehicle was in the parking lot of a supermarket on Tower Drive. The 32-year-old driver is accused of damaging a concrete curb.

Police say they responded and tried to stop the driver but he kept driving.

They say he entered a parking lot on Crystal Run Road where he struck two concrete curbs and a retaining wall.

He was arrested and is due back in court later this month.
