West Haverstraw man pleads guilty in fatal DWI crashPosted: Updated:
A West Haverstraw man has pleaded guilty in a fatal New City drunk driving accident last summer.
According to a Rockland County clerk, Michael Mercado, 24, has pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter and DWI.
Mercado admitted to driving on Route 304 back in July, going through a red light at an intersection, and fatally striking 21-year-old Jayde Marks.
Mercado will be sentenced in April.
