Psychiatrist retained by defense attorney says Monsey attack suspect not competent to stand trial

A psychiatrist who was retained by the attorney of the alleged Monsey stabber has determined that Grafton Thomas is currently not competent to stand trial.

Thomas is accused of stabbing multiple people during a Hanukkah celebration in Rockland County.

The U.S. Attorney's Office now has two weeks to respond.           

Thomas has pleaded not guilty to multiple state charges, including attempted murder.
