Police: Man wanted for violating parole arrested for stealing allergy medicine

A Manhattan man wanted for violating parole was arrested on Long Island after attempting to steal allergy medicine, according to police.
Police say a Stop and Shop employee caught Edward Robinson stealing $1,400 in allergy medicine on Tuesday night.
The incident happened at the store on Motor Avenue in South Farmingdale. Robinson was arrested a short time later.
Police were able to link Robinson to similar incidents at Stop and Shop stores in Woodbury, Oyster Bay, South Farmingdale and Merrick.
Police tell News 12 that Robinson was also wanted in the city for violating his parole on charges of first-degree rape and kidnapping.
